What we collect, what we keep, and who helps us run this site. We are based in Australia.

what we collect
We collect what you send us, and a little about visits.
- Contact form. Your name, your email, your company if you give it, and your message. We also note which page you sent it from.
- Enable assessment. Your answers and your email. We ask for your phone number only if you ask for a call. You can also ask for a copy of your results and for news and updates. If you press "Book a call" in your results email, you can give a phone number on that page too.
- Phone numbers. We use your phone number only to call you about your request.
- Visits. Vercel, which hosts this site, receives your IP address and basic details about your browser and device on every page load. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to see which pages are read and how fast they load. Web Analytics works without cookies. We also count when a form is sent, a skill is scanned, a button is clicked, or a practice quiz, mock exam or flashcard deck is finished. Quiz and exam scores are rounded to a band of ten (for example, 70 to 79). These counts hold no names or email addresses. Vercel's bot check runs on the assessment, the skill scanner, and the confirm and call pages.
- Agent studio (invite-only). If we invite you: your email and sign-in details (kept by Clerk, which runs our sign-in), the agents you build and their settings (kept in our database at Supabase), and the agents themselves and your chats with them (kept by Anthropic, which runs them). For each chat we also keep a record in our database: which agent it used, when it ran, its status and its cost. For each step that asked for approval, the record also holds the name of the tool it asked to use and who approved or refused it. Anthropic's agent service is not covered by zero data retention.
- Certification progress. Your progress on the certification pages, such as finished lessons, flashcards and mock exam results, is kept in your own browser (local storage). It is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
- Likes and views. The like and view counts on articles are plain totals for each article. They are not linked to you. Your browser remembers on your own device that you liked or viewed an article. That is not sent to us.
why we collect it
We use your information only for the reason you gave it to us:
- to reply to your message;
- to send you a copy of your assessment results, if you ask for one;
- to call you back, if you ask for a call;
- to send you news and updates, but only after you confirm by email;
- to stop spam and abuse of our forms;
- to see which pages help people, so we can improve the site.
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services listed under "who helps us", and only so they can do their job for us. The one exception is when the law requires us to share it.
what we keep
- We do not keep form submissions in a database. A contact message or an assessment arrives as an email in our team inbox. We delete these emails after 90 days.
- To stop abuse, we limit how often one person can use the contact form, the view and like counts, the assessment and the skill scanner. For that we store a one-way scrambled code (a hash) made from your IP address and, for the assessment, a hash of your email address. We do not store the addresses themselves. These codes expire after between 10 minutes and 24 hours. The running totals we keep hold no personal data, and they expire within two days.
- If you ask for a copy of your results, we keep your email address and your best-fit path for 30 days, so the "Book a call" button in that email works. We delete it when you use the button, or after 30 days.
- If you ask for news and updates, we hold your email address, and when you asked, for up to seven days while we wait for you to confirm. If you do not confirm, it is deleted.
- If you confirm, we add you to our news list and keep a consent record: your email address, a reference code for the request, when you asked, when you confirmed, and the version of the wording you agreed to. We keep it as proof of your consent until you ask us to delete it.
- Resend, our email service, keeps a copy of each email it sends for us, including its content, for 30 days.
- The skill scanner checks your files in a temporary sandbox that we shut down when the scan ends. We do not store them.
- Agent studio data stays until you ask us to delete it. That covers your account at Clerk, your agents and their saved versions in our database, your chat records in our database, and your agents and chats at Anthropic (ended chats are archived there, not deleted). Email us and we will delete them. Automatic deletion when an account is removed is planned, but it is not built yet.
marketing
We send you news and updates only after you confirm by email. Every marketing email says who we are and has an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time. Asking for a copy of your results or for a call does not put you on our news list.
who helps us
- Vercel hosts this site. It also provides our analytics, our speed measurements and the bot checks on the assessment, the skill scanner, and the confirm and call pages.
- Resend sends our email and holds our news list.
- Upstash stores the codes, counters and records described above, in Sydney, Australia.
- Google runs Gmail, which holds our team inbox. Contact messages and assessments arrive there.
- Clerk runs sign-in for the agent studio. It holds your email and sign-in details, and records your IP address and device.
- Supabase holds the agent studio's database: the agents you build, their settings and saved versions, and a record of each chat.
- Anthropic runs the agents you publish from the agent studio, and keeps your chats with them. Its agent service is not covered by zero data retention.
information stored outside Australia
Upstash keeps its data in Sydney, Australia. Vercel runs our server functions in the United States, and the agent studio's in Sydney, Australia. Vercel's network may also handle your page requests in other countries, including Australia. Resend and Google (Gmail, our team inbox) are in the United States. Clerk, Supabase and Anthropic (for the agent studio) may also store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. So your information is stored or processed in the United States as well as in Australia. We use these services only to run this site and our email.
keeping it safe
This site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only our team can open the inbox and the service accounts that hold your information. We keep as little as we can, for as short a time as we can, as described under "what we keep".
your choices
You can ask what we hold about you. You can ask us to correct it, or to delete it. Email robbie@weclaudecode.com and tell us which address you used. We will reply within 30 days. You can also unsubscribe from our news list with the link in any marketing email.
complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, email robbie@weclaudecode.com and tell us what happened. We will look into it and reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our reply, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
